Do you work with clients who are still in the idea stage?
Absolutely. Some clients come to me with a destination already in mind, while others are just beginning to wonder what's possible. Either way, we start with a conversation—your interests, your travel style, and what you're hoping to experience—and go from there.
Why should I use a travel advisor instead of booking everything myself?
You absolutely can plan your own trip—and many people do. But if you'd rather spend your time looking forward to your vacation than researching hotels, comparing excursions, and wondering if you're making the right choices, that's where I come in.
I help narrow thousands of options into the ones that truly fit your travel style. A five-star hotel on paper isn't always the right five-star hotel for you, and recommendations from social media or review sites don't always match your expectations. My job is to help you avoid the guesswork and create a journey that's thoughtfully planned from start to finish.
And if something unexpected happens while you're traveling—a missed connection, schedule change, or last-minute issue—you have someone to call who already knows your itinerary and can help coordinate a solution. I'd much rather you be enjoying a shore excursion, relaxing at a café, or taking in the view than spending hours on hold with an airline trying to fix a problem.
Travel planning isn't just about making reservations. It's about giving you the freedom to simply enjoy your vacation, knowing every detail has been thoughtfully planned—and that if something unexpected happens, you have someone in your corner to help.
What types of trips do you specialize in?
I specialize in premium cruises, river cruises, escorted tours, custom itineraries, and small group travel for women. Europe is a particular passion, but I plan thoughtfully designed journeys all over the world. You can explore the different ways to travel with me on the Travel With Lisa page.
What's the difference between Travel With Lisa and Travel By Lisa?
Great question!
Travel With Lisa trips are cruises, escorted tours, or all-inclusive vacations that I'm already taking myself. You book the same trip and enjoy your own vacation, with the added comfort of knowing you won't be traveling alone. While we're each enjoying our own vacation, you'll have the reassurance of a familiar face along the way. Think of me as a fellow traveler, not a tour guide.
Travel By Lisa are women-only journeys that I personally design and host, with custom itineraries created exclusively for the group. I'll be with you every step of the way, creating a shared experience that's as much about the friendships we build as the destinations we discover.

Do you plan trips outside of Europe?
While Europe is one of my specialties, I also plan journeys throughout Asia, Africa, South America, Australia and New Zealand, and beyond. Whether you're returning to a favorite destination or venturing somewhere completely new, every itinerary is tailored to your interests and travel style.
Do you work with groups?
I do! I plan travel for families, friends, affinity groups, and hosted departures. I also offer women-only journeys through Travel By Lisa, as well as select Travel With Lisa departures where I'll be traveling on the same trip as a fellow guest.
Do you book flights?
Flights are included when they're part of a complete itinerary—such as a cruise, escorted tour, or multi-destination journey where timing matters to the overall experience. I don't typically book flights as a standalone service.
Is there a planning fee?
Custom travel planning begins at $250 and varies depending on the complexity of your trip. We'll discuss everything during our initial consultation so you'll know exactly what to expect.
